The Joubert Singers are Hunters Hill’s own community choir. They perform sacred and secular music from around the world, with their Artistic Director, Rachelle Elliott, who specialises in Nordic and Baltic repertoire, with particular interest in the music of First Nations, and working with composers in presenting new choral music. Established in 1994, this SATB mixed choir presents an annual concert series and participates in choral events and projects with other choirs and orchestras.

 

Our repertoire is expansive, including larger traditional choral works, music from other cultures and contemporary Australian works. We perform at various times with piano, organ, string ensemble or a capella.

While the Joubert Singers is a non-auditioned choir, its members strive for musical excellence and as a result we have developed a loyal audience from around the local area and wider Sydney.

Incorporated in 2009, Joubert Singers welcomes new members as singers, but also in other capacities to support the choir such as concert production and publicity. Please let us know if you are able to help in these important roles.

Celebrate with us at three concerts in 2018 as we perform a selection of works from the last 25 years of Joubert Singers Concerts. We will also be singing the Vespers RV. 339 by W.A. Mozart, one of our favourite composers.
